On this day
a new day
i could not quite see
that right there
before my own
eyes was the reason
i did all i did
the reason i awoke
to a smile
to a new heart beat
But on this day
I have truly lost my way
taken the wrong path
the left instead of the right
the up instead of the down
I am sorry
I would never
let something that
i cared about
slip away
fall down
to die
like i am.
